Judebrod (you-de-brod with an umlaut) -- Swedish Christmas cookies Judy Anderson 1 cup butter 1 cup sugar 3.5 cup flour 2 oz. whipping cream 2 eggs 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. cardamom 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. allspice Cream butter, add sugar, eggs, and beat well. Sift or stir together other dry ingredients. Gradually add to wet mixture alternating with cream until thoroughly mixed. Chilled dough in fridge for about an hour. Roll out and use cookie cutters. Sprinkle cookies with cinnamon sugar, and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. I got this recipe from my mother, who I believe got it from her mother, who was a Swede! So it's even authentic. (Well, I think the whipping cream was instead skimmed off the top of the milk, but you can't have everything with modern times.)
